A Typical Canadian

A Typical Canadian is not defined by one’s background, where they were born, culture, age, or interests. A Typical Canadian is defined by one’s determination, will power, courage and compassion when faced with adversity.

What is the Typically Canadian Group?

The Typically Canadian Group (TCG) was formed to honour all those that have exemplified the attributes of a Typical Canadian. TCG’s goal is to pay tribute to these Typical Canadians from all walks of life and to rally all Canadians to aid in the battle against cancer.  Today, approximately two in five Canadians will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives.  Almost all Canadians will have a loved one who is affected directly.  We have witnessed the courage of those who have died, the resolve of those who have survived and the determination and will power of those who now battle the disease. And as Typical Canadians we must show support and honour our fellow Canadians.

We believe that “to honour is to inspire”

We are proud supporters of the Canadian Cancer Society and Firefighters across Canada.  We have teamed up with these organizations to honour all Typical Canadians and raise funds in the fight against cancer.

In the summer of 2008, five TCG members are cycling across the country with the memories of loved ones lost, the courage and will power of survivors, and the determination and compassion of all Typical Canadians.  Our goal is to pay tribute and honour Typical Canadians across our country.

We ask for your Support, your Stories and your Involvement with the TC Tribute Tour in your community
